Good afternoon! I was debating sending this newsletter out today, but if you’re reading in real-time, I think we all deserve a quick break from doom scrolling on this election day — so I’m proceeding with (mostly) regular posts.
Anyways, I’m back with more auction favorites! Whether you’re looking to make a quick buck via flipping, you’re sourcing for your own home, or you’re a designer - I have some steals for you.
If you’d like to upgrade to a paid subscription, you’ll get access to creative business + manufacturing resources, founder insights and personal stories in addition to weekly auction finds and specialized sourcing posts like this one :) Cancel anytime!
If you’re new, here are some basics:
It depends on the lot, but most bids start at $1. I suggest making an account, setting an alarm, and waiting until the last day to bid. This particular site’s auctions are a bit different. Five minutes are always added after the last bid at the end of an auction - this allows the seller to generate the highest sale price, which is a little frustrating, but it’s also less stressful as a buyer! Some sales end quickly, some drag on forever. I like to decide on the highest price I’ll pay before I start bidding so dopamine doesn’t get the best of me ;)
Most of these finds are on the east coast, but if you aren’t local, you could schedule a Uship delivery. I like to list on their site and wait for delivery bids. Make sure you read the reviews!
Without further ado, here are links for my picks this week -
Auctions begin close on 11/11 and 11/16.
